namasté, bitches

Deux coeurs qui bat comme l'un..

Sydney and Queensland was nothing short from amazing.
I can’t believe how quickly I went, and came back.
Cannot even get my head around the fact that it was exactly 1 month ago.

This is a belated post with PICTURES (yay!) Of my trip. :)
Read along, go on, I know you’re bored :P

Upon arriving at Sydney at approximately 3pm, after checking into our hotel, we returned to the car and noticed the… hmm.. interesting decal ? lol!!
Nevetheless, It took a lot of scrubbing and rinising to clear, and it was kind of sickening to look at..

Our first dinner in Sydney was at the food court of STAR CITY CASINO!
Not only was the food EXTREMELY AMAZING, it was FRESH, it was reasonably priced, and it was SUPER SATISFYING. I know this isnt the most flattering shot of Mike, but the food was ahw-mah-gawddd so good! (Probably since we were starved..??)

We went passed Adriano Zumbo and saw the amazing display of macaroons and delish little treats in which we ‘ceebed’ lining up for to a) enter the store and b)pay for the merchandise. We said we would return, but never got the chance to. My first regret of the whole trip!!

Day 2 of Sydney consisted of lots of eating, tourist-y type activities, and walking. I remembered to wear some comfy shoes because we walked to Darling Harbour, and through Hyde Park. We walked from one end all through to the aquarium and back that day. Early in the morning, we passed this super amazingly cute ChowChow! (I’VE ONLY SEEN THEM ON TUMBLR, FIRST TIME TO SEE IN REAL LIFE !!!)

I
I understand how lame and ugly this picture is, but it really is the only actual tourist-type photo we have LOL!!

All around Sydney Aquarium they had these lego statues which were VERY COOL to me at first.. until I got used to them LOL! Call me a deprived child, but they were so super amazing!

We discovered a Guylian Chocolate Cafe where we spent almost $50 buying chocolate, dessert and drinks. I would honestly say it’s not as good as Lindt cafe, but it comes close.

During this trip, as long as I could eat it, I would. Sushi, sushi packs, sushi rolls, bentos and everything deliciously salmon-looking, it would be devoured.

We shopped around the Westfield in Sydney and did some shopping for the next day’s road trip. I made a quick trip to Zara and got some shorts :)

Discovered a re-invented starbucks called “TOM N TOM” which was kind of strange.. :/

And finished the night off by going to the event cinemas around the corner from out Hotel and watched Crazy Stupid Love for the first time!! We had dinner at a local Bistro which ended up being pretty darned good. Every meal we had was good cuz we were usually pretty hungry by the time we decided of a place to go to and eat LOL!

Farewell Sydney, I’ll see you again in a couple of days!

We got to Broadbeach by 6am the following day, and crashed out in the car as we were too early for any kind of checking in ! A quick nap, breakfast and securing our check in were major events of the day. We also went to the beach and tanned for a few short minutes before realising we were going to sleep on the sand since we were so tired from driving the night before. We pretty much took it easy and made dinner in the apartment that night. We stayed at the Meriton and it was … in short? Amazing.

Bed, TV, Ocean Views, Private Balcony, Air Con, clean suites, fresh towels daily, Pool, Gym, Sauna, Spa and restaurants all on ground level. We luckily got floor 17 and the views were breathtaking. Even though we stayed 3 short nights, we milked the shit out of the utlities they provided and were so happy with the place. Mike cooked and cleaned most nights (loljks i wish) BUT he did have to wake up at night to turn off the a/c which is permanently his job LOL!

Our stay in broadbeach consisted mainly of shopping at Pacific Fair, eating at home, swimming in the pool and long walks on the beach *laughs* im totally joking, but we did spend a lot of time just taking it in, and taking a couple of hours to wind down and relax.

And thanks again to everyone who made me an owner of an iPad possible :) Without it, I think my trip wouldn’t have been the same!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking a tad douchey but nevertheless, our first dinner in Broadbeach, and an amazing one at that!

The next day we decided to head out to Biggera Waters which is like their Moorabin DFO??? We spent a shit load of money buying things, probably unnecessary things but Mike fell in love with the Nike Factory outlet there and could not resist buying lots of things. :| I was … nah .. forget it. I was gonna say I was slightly more controlled but I really wasnt! We were at Pacific Fair earlier that day and I bought a couple of tops and 2 pairs of shoes!! So not really fair to say I controlled myself when I didnt really even try.

It was actually our 3 Year Anniversary that day so we went out for dinner :)
We went to the Sushi Train which was 5 mins walk from our apartment complex and I have never tasted anything so amazing.

Since we rocked up a little late, they urged us to make final orders. As we ordered, the chef made each individual thing right infront of us and served it. IT WAS SO FRESH AND DELICIOUS, I cant even find the vocab to describe it!

Earlier that day, Mike suprised me with Cake and a Pandora charm which I had already mentioned in a previous blog about our funny conversation hahahah!

It was really an amazing way to spend our 3 Year Anniversary together and it just goes to show how far we’ve come since we met!! :P

Dinner on night 3 was made predominately by Mike. He can actually cook, but cleaning might not be his forte hahahahahha!!

I might leave it there and finish this blog later with pics and snaps of my stay at Surfers Paradise! Basically theme parks, and a shittier Hotel! LOL!
